2. Dirty Air Filters Restricting Airflow

4. Low Refrigerant Gas Levels

Low refrigerant pressure alters the internal coil pressure, causing localized freezing across the evaporator coils. Once the compressor cycles off, large chunks of ice melt rapidly and flood the drain tray.

Solution: Inspect copper lines for leaks, repair flare joints, and perform a gas top up.
